AARP Health Innovation@50
Held in 2012 in New Orleans and 2013 in Las Vegas, this unique dual Live pitch format allows start-up companies in the “50 and over” health technology and innovation sector to pitch leading venture and angel investors as well as AARP consumers.

Avia **
Abundant Ventures Innovation Accelerator (Avia), located in Chicago, was created in 2012 to help provider members out innovate the competition with new technology enabled care delivery models. Its focus is on 4 domains: Patient Engagement, Expanded Access, Care Transitions and Population Health Management. Avia sources strategically important solutions for hospitals and health systems, supports providers and entrepreneurs with implementation and provides emerging companies with capital and management support.

Bio/Med Investor Network
Based in Atlanta, the network was created in late 2014 to address the need to connect early-stage biomedical, medtech and healthcare-related companies with angel investors. it is supported by Georgia Bio, the Georgia Research Alliance and each of Georgia's research universities. Investment opportunities outside of Georgia are equally considered. The first investment screening will be March 5, 2015. To attend the meeting, you have to apply by February 9th.

Blueprint Health
NYC based accelerator program geared towards healthcare companies that want an intensive three-month program to help find customers and capital.

Breakout Labs
Peter Thiel's latest project is awarding $5 million to biotech companies that are truly revolutionary and life-changing. Each company is receiving $350,000 in funding to bring more technology into the science sphere.

CHCF Health Innovation Fund
CHCF is a nonprofit grantmaking philanthropy based in Oakland, California. Founded in 1996, the staff of about 50 people issues around $40 million in grants each year from an endowment of $700 million. Their Health Innovation Fund supports business models with the potential to significantly lower the cost of care or improve access to care. CHCF plans to invest $10 million in medical and health care devices, technologies, and services over three years.

Digital Health Summit **
Held every January in Las Vegas as part of CES and again each summer in San Diego.

DreamIt Health
Philadelphia based healthcare accelerator in the form of a 4 month boot camp. Powered by IBC and Penn Medicine, this collaboration marks the first time a leading health insurer and a leading health care provider have come together in an accelerator to deliver, with DreamIt Ventures and Venturef0rth, the resources entrepreneurs need to capitalize on emerging health care opportunities.

Excelerate Health Ventures
Based in NC, Excelerate is a professionally managed healthcare angel fund, with investments from a network of physicians, dentists, healthcare executives, and angel investors. EHV recently raised it's first $5.1M Physician Fund which will invest in capital efficient start-ups that can scale rapidly in the healthcare industry, with particular emphasis on IT, software, medical technology, and associated services.

Chicago based health care accelerator that was launched by Sandbox Industries in Jan 2012 with 10 startups. Healthbox now operates in Boston and London and has plans to expand to Jacksonville and Nashville.

Health Data Initiative
HDI was launched in 2010 by the Institute of Medicine (IOM) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) after a meeting between leaders from federal agencies, academia, social sectors, public health communities, information technology firms, major businesses, and health care delivery systems.  This group formed the Community Health Data Initiative, a public-private partnership, which has grown into the Health Data Consortium that is currently made up of 17 organizations that encourage innovators to utilize health data to develop applications to raise awareness of health and health system performance and spark community action to improve health.

Online marketplace to match investors to high quality health startups, and startups to capital and expertise. 

Online capital market dedicated exclusively to the global healthcare industry.  Employing crowd finance, the HealthiosXchange offers direct access, from "seed" to "exit", to more than (5,000) emerging growth healthcare companies and (1,700) strategic buyers in (46) market sectors.  Membership includes more than 2,000 individuals, including accredited investors, family offices, private banks, foreign trusts, sovereign wealth, cross-over funds and alternative managers.   

Health Tech Capital
HealthTech Capital is a group of private investors dedicated to funding and mentoring new "HealthTech" start ups at the intersection of healthcare with the computer and mobility worlds. HealthTech Capital is creating a new ecosystem with leading edge clinical providers, venture firms and other strategic industry players. HTC is sponsoring its first Health Tech Conference on October 14-15 in San Mateo, CA.

Health Tech Hatch
Health Tech Hatch is an online, mobile crowd funding resource dedicated to launching early-stage for profit and nonprofit innovations in health care and putting them into the hands of patients, physicians, wellness professionals and consumers.  As funders, do not expect rewards in the form of repayment with interest or a stake in the business; instead, crowdfunders may enjoy perks or gifts, along with a feeling of satisfaction—putting your money where your mouth is and knowing you just backed a life-saving or world-changing idea. 

Health Technology Forum Meetup
Monthly SF meetup offering opportunity to discuss real-life technology use-cases from hospitals, doctor offices, medical billing, insurance, remote monitoring, health-and-wellness, and various patient-care services. Subject matter experts, users, entrepreneurs, regulators, and providers will address each other's needs and solutions. 

HIMSS is a cause-based, not-for-profit organization exclusively focused on providing global leadership for the optimal use of information technology (IT) and management systems for the betterment of healthcare.

InciteHealth ** 
InciteHealth is an initiative within the Center for Primary Care at Harvard Medical School. The InciteHealth fellowship is a one-year, part time program to develop novel, ground-breaking approaches to primary care. The first cohort will kick off on Feb 20, 2015.

The Innovation Institute
Organization focused on transforming healthcare through the development of innovative new products, services, and ideas. The Institute is an incubator that helps nurture ideas and brings them to market to improve care delivery, eliminate waste, and extend human life. Think of the Institute as a type of “Shark Tank,” only a lot friendlier. Here, we evaluate inventors’ ideas and determine the long-term potential for each concept. We walk with the inventor to obtain patents, develop prototypes, and navigate the best way to take their idea to market as a new product, license agreement, or even a new company. 


Janssen Connected Care Challenge
Providing awards totaling $250,000 to inspire and nurture the best solutions to improve patient transitions from hospital to home. Next contest has not yet been announced.

JLABS / Formerly Janssen Labs (San Francisco/San Diego/Boston)
Johnson & Johnson Innovation now operates four incubators that offer entrepreneurs state-of-the-art facilities, turnkey laboratory and office space, shared capital equipment, operations management, business services, educational programming and networking opportunities-all with no strings attached JLABS is looking for innovations across pharmaceuticals, medical device & diagnostics and consumer healthcare. New York Digital Health Accelerator
Program run by the New York eHealth Collaborative and the New York City Investment Fund for early- and growth-stage digital health companies that are developing cutting edge technology products in care coordination, patient engagement, analytics and message alerts for healthcare providers.

Partnership for Healthier America
Devoted to working with the private sector to ensure the health of our nation’s youth by solving the childhood obesity crisis. PHA brings together public, private and nonprofit leaders to broker meaningful commitments and develop strategies to end childhood obesity. 

Rock Health **
Seed accelerator for digital health start ups that provides office space, mentorship, strategic support from partners and an investment of $100K from Kleiner Perkins, Aberdare Ventures, Mohr Davidow Ventures and the Mayo Clinic. Companies are now reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Sky Ventures Group
Launched in Boston in April 2015, Sky Ventures supports life science and healthcare startups through seed funding and professional resources. It will front between $100,000 and $4 million in seed investment, running the gamut across the life sciences and healthcare. The investor network is by invitation only.

Stanford Medicine X
The three-day event, which runs September 25-27, 2015 on the Stanford campus, is a catalyst for new ideas about the future of medicine and emerging technologies. 

StartUp Health
Academy for Health & Wellness Entrepreneurship.  The Academy is structured as a three-year curriculum with strategic thinking workshops and collaborative peer groups designed to help innovators navigate business challenges.

Strata RX 2.0
